2018 SONA

           "War is not an option" "I will not bore you with a list of projects completed" this is just few of his remarks. Short but sweet. Me was like: Is this really our President? I was shocked because he delivered his remarks without cuss words, President Rodrigo Duterte delivered his SONA on July 23, 2018 with in 45 minutes. It may be not usual duterte speech but everytjing were drama free .


          In this SONA he began his speech emphasizing on his government's top campaign-- war on drugs " it will be relentless and chilling" he said. He also vowed to provide a long term solution to the country's rice problems. He also mention about the friendship and corruption. President Duterte said that even though he values his friends, he is willing to let go of them if they go against his anti-corruption policies. He also talked about about the mining and the environment , disaster resiliency, federalism and etc. I hope that the president will always do the right thing. Hopefully this is not just one of an empty promises of a politician.


          We want a peaceful country right ? but how can we achieve this if our leader is just the one whose making a move? We need to work together for us to achieve a peaceful country.
